Outlook doesn't validate your mailing list

When you add a PoliteMail mailing list to Outlook’s To: field, it should appear with a plus symbol, bold and underlined, like [+] Listname;

This means Outlook has validated the list, and you can send to it.  If Outlook does not validate the list, you will not be able to send to it.

Sometimes this issue is related to how PoliteMail provides the lists to Outlook for validation. You can resolve this issue by doing the following:

  1. Click Contacts (in the lower left Outlook navigation pane, under Calendar)
  2. At the top of that pane, under My Contacts, you should see an item: PoliteMail Temporary Lists;
  3. Click that, and press Ctrl-A (select all)
  4. Press the Delete key (to remove all temporary lists)
  5. Now go back and try to re-add your list
